Employee Recognition, Community Service, and Commitment to Clients that Attracts Acquisition Cited

In its 25th year, Tech50 is an awards program that honors and recognizes the top 50 member companies of the Pittsburgh Technology Council across technology-focused industries.

“It’s an honor to be recognized alongside our Pittsburgh-area colleagues as an Innovator of the Year finalist for 2021. Despite a challenging year, globally, our employees continue to go above and beyond to support our clients, our community, and each other. Joining CitiusTech, and being recently selected as a Pittsburgh Top Workplace just confirms to me that SDLC Partners is on the right track, and it inspires us all to keep stretching.”

Chris Simchick, Founder and CEO

SDLC Partners was chosen as an Innovator of the Year – Solutions Provider finalist for 2021, considering innovations in how the organization continues to enhance its culture, provides novel solutions to healthcare’s most timely and pressing problems, and supports professional women in technology and children through STEM education.

Employee Feedback Garners 2021 Top Workplaces Pittsburgh Award

Recently, SDLC Partners received the 2021 Top Workplaces Award for Pittsburgh. Based solely on employee feedback and culture survey results, the annual award was given to 95 Pittsburgh-based employers who achieved high rankings in 24 workplace measures. The recognition highlights the effort of the Mission, Vision, and Values teams who worked tirelessly to continue improvement initiatives in areas like Performance Management, Communication, Brand, Engagement, Client Relations, and Training.

Joining CitiusTech and Expanding Impact in Healthcare

CitiusTech acquired SDLC Partners in June 2021. Together, our combined efforts broaden the types of services and solutions offered across the healthcare ecosystem.

SDLC Partners has created solutions to help healthcare organizations streamline internal systems, workflows, and data exchanges within and outside the organization, improving efficiencies and experience throughout the healthcare journey. Examples of SDLC Partners’ healthcare solutions include:

  • CareVivo – Cohort-centric care management that creates, scales, and accesses curated patient data at pivotal moments in our client’s care management workflow.
  • Medicare Advantage Special Supplemental Benefits – Medicare Advantage plans lack visibility into “unmet needs” around supplemental and non-medical benefits that could impact their members most. This service makes explicit those benefits that correlate to real and perceived value, and the insights garnered translate to reimbursements, bonuses, and enrollment increases.
  • Stress and Wellbeing App – Employees and students need tools to improve wellness and help alleviate day-to-day stress. The application is based on Dr. Gia Tatone’s “Five Point Model” for a balanced life and the science of peer support.

Supporting Underrepresented Populations, Area Youth, STEM Education, and Professional Women in Technology

Through participation in the Pittsburgh Technology Council’s (PTC) and FortyX80’s Apprenti program, two apprentices, who are tech-interested and from underrepresented groups, will receive one-on-one support from an SDLC employee to help them find their niche in this growing industry.

In May, SDLC Partners participated in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh’s Go BIG for Kids’ Sake virtual trivia event. Employees raised over $5K.

SDLC Partners supported two PTC STEM programs in 2021 — the PTC’s LAUNCH program — by speaking to groups of high school students interested in the STEM industry. The focus was on building their LinkedIn profiles as they began their career search or applied to colleges. Forty-five attendees and 122 educational institutions participated.

Lastly, SDLC Partners enhanced its Women In Technology (WIT) program to encourage more women to take on leadership roles by providing further opportunities for leadership development, networking, and mentoring for women at every career phase. Future educational sessions will focus on developing leadership skills, communicating effectively, and identifying and tackling unconscious bias at work.

“This year’s TECH 50 nomination highlights how the pandemic brought out the best in our organization and our people. We saw everyone rally together and quickly pivot to ensure that our clients continued to receive high-quality services uninterrupted. We not only addressed their unique needs, but we enhanced our culture with impactful programs while delivering career and skill education to regional job seekers.”

Scott Barnyak, Founder and Chief Marketing and Sales Officer

The Pittsburgh Technology Council will announce the Solution Provider of the Year winner at their TECH50 event on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown.
