SDLC Partners Celebrates 15 Years of Innovation and Growth

>>>SDLC Partners Celebrates 15 Years of Innovation and Growth

Providing technology-driven solutions for the region’s businesses and employees since 2004.

Fifteen years ago, SDLC Partners was the brainchild of three co-workers who witnessed an opportunity to produce outcomes for clients through offering a hybrid of engagement models and service offerings. Chris Simchick, Scott Barnyak, and Christy Maruca believed that clients deserved cost-effective, tailored solutions carried out by seasoned consultants as an alternative to the pervasive, large consultancies.

Chief Executive Officer, Chris Simchick, reflects back and looks ahead, “The goal was, and still is, to ensure that we take ownership alongside our clients to execute against the best strategy and roadmap, enabling them to be successful while balancing speed-to-market, cost, quality, and organizational change.”

Scott Barnyak, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, shares Simchick’s passion, “Since 2004, the organization has grown from three to nearly 500 employees. Together, we have become an essential leader in the Pittsburgh technology and business ecosystem.

We started with a vision and a set of values to guide the company and our team members, creating value for our clients and opportunities for employee and corporate growth. Those same values are the foundation of our success and future innovation for everyone we serve.

Personally, it’s a humbling moment when leadership can express our gratitude to everyone who has been part of our journey and will help us achieve so much more in the next 15 years.”

Located in PPG One, downtown, SDLC Partners offers the most collaborative and capable experts who fuse business transformation, effective processes, and operational excellence with seamless technical execution.

In recent years, the organization has expanded services and delivery teams to enable the advanced technologies like Robotic Process Automation, launching a center of excellence in 2017. Also, in 2017, SDLC Partners launched a cybersecurity company called CyLumena, offering much-needed services to protect corporate and customer data, intellectual property, and sensitive corporate systems.

Over the past 15 years, SDLC Partners has made a mark in the Pittsburgh region, its communities, and future talent, through involvement in Big Brothers, Big Sisters; the Carnegie Science Center’s Application Development Camp; the Pittsburgh Technology Council’s STEM events; as well as their own annual Hackathon that is open to regional undergraduate and graduate students.

Chris Simchick best summarizes SDLC’s future plans, “The journey has been an exciting one, and one that we plan to celebrate.  We will continue to challenge our teams to grow the company by bringing Smart Solutions to our clients, ensuring our success over the next 15 years.”
